User Interface

The first chapter of the book deals with the user interface of the software. A section on the user interface, connecting, the main window, menus, forms and fields is followed by a section on reoccuring concepts used thoughtout Tiny ERP.

Business Functions / Tiny ERP Modules

The following chapters of the book address the functions of a company. We review:

These chapters are all structures in the same way. The first section of each chapter addresses the definition, role and intergration of the function.

This is represented by the flow of information. It will help the system administator get an understaning of the relations between all documents in the system.

The next section describes the operations of the function from a user point of view. The functions are contained in software modules within Tiny ERP. Where appropriate, screen shots and menu selections are outlined for each operation in the function/module

A section describing the the module settings follows. This is useful in determining the systems initial configuration.

Finally each chapter ends with a technical data sheet summarizing functionallity of the module / business function. This can be usefull in evaluating Tiny ERP against a specific need.

Implementation

To Be Written. How to setup a company.

After this overview of the functions of the enterprise, we will deal with the software implementation. That implementation is covered in 3 phases : the installation for putting into production, the system initial configuration and the data import.

The Tiny ERP Open Source Project

A description of the Tiny ERP project is given, the roles of various participants, the business model and an overview of many available optional modules is given.

Installation

The last chapter of the book deals with the installation of the software. Two operating systems are covered: Windows and Debian/Linux. Installation is divded into two parts. The first covers Tiny ERP server and database installation. The second covers Tiny ERP client installation.
