What a product?

A product in Tiny ERP is something which you can produce, store, sell or buy. The products have various characteristics such as a price, suppliers, codes produced, etc. The principal examples of products are:

managed articles of stock
services
consumables
resources

The first example is of type "Stockable", while the last three types are marked non-storable or services. According to their characteristics, the products behave differently. For example, the delivery of stockable products will depend on the state on various stocks and warehouses. On the other hand, a requirement in products of the type "Service" can generate tasks to be carried out in the project management.

In Tiny ERP, the products can also have several alternatives, which decline produces it in various authorities which differ by only some characteristics. The generic product is called gauge or template of product and the alternative is the product which will be sold or bought. For example, a template of product can be a tee-shirt and the various alternatives can be the red color, size XL or even the grammage of the textile.
